Whether it was when I was home in Canada or now here in Galway, I’ve gotten similar reactions to when I say “I’m studying International Human Rights”. Most are happily surprised about the opportunity, some are honestly surprised by the opportunity for me to go into Master’s of Law program without having to study law first (we’ll get to that bit another day). But there were also the people who become instantaneously curious about my field of study: what are human rights?
Before starting classes, I struggled to find a consistent definition or answer to give to people when they asked that last question. But in my video, I introduce my new, improved (yet always evolving) answer! Watch and let me know what you think in the comment section.
