Step into Ireland’s beauty through the lens of Student Ambassador Eleonora Benetton! 📸 Dive into stunning landscapes, lively streets, and the artsy vibes that make Ireland so captivating.
Good morning, everyone!
I’m Eleonora, an Italian student currently pursuing a Dual Degree in Marketing at Dublin Business School.
One of my biggest passions is photography; it’s my own way of telling stories and preserving memories.
Since moving to Dublin in September, I have come to realise Ireland’s charm was the perfect place for this passion: from its breathtaking landscapes to its lively streets, Ireland has stirred emotions in me that sometimes words alone couldn’t capture.
Therefore, today I will try to dive into the emotions I have experienced while capturing the beauty of the country along the way.
Landscapes
From the very first day, I fell in love with landscapes and their ability to make you feel immersed in the power of nature. This image captures the beauty of Howth, a charming little town just outside the centre of Dublin.
Howth is the ideal place for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts: with its long scenic walk to the lighthouse, it offers spectacular views to fully embrace the breathtaking natural surroundings.
Another place that completely stole my heart is Glendalough, a glacial valley located in County Wicklow.
The following photographs represent how enchanting nature views can fill the heart with emotions, even in their silence.
The attached photograph I took made me reflect on how wonderful it would be to sit there, surrounded by Ireland’s beauty, with a friend, a loved one, or even a stranger. In that moment, the stillness of the landscape becomes a shared experience, amplifying the magic.
Joyful Streets
A further aspect I adore about Dublin is the perfect balance between the sense of peace and the sense of joy: this is what makes the city alive. Every time I walk along Grafton Street, I lose myself in the melodies of street artists; sometimes they bring a smile to my face, and sometimes they bring tears.
But this is exactly what I love about the city, what I fell in love with since day one. The streets always shimmer with lights, music, and joy that fill you with a special energy.
Art and Literature
Moreover, Ireland’s art, music, and literature make the country all the more enchanting: from the Old Library of Trinity College to the National Gallery, from James Joyce to Oscar Wilde, from Bono Vox to Van Morrison, Ireland is considered a perfect place to dive into the magic of culture in all its expressions.
The following photo was taken inside the Long Room of the Old Library of Trinity College, one of Ireland’s greatest treasures, and it features the statue of Shakespeare positioned in the centre of the library.
To conclude our photographic journey, I would like to share this last image, which was taken during one of my very first days in Dublin. The photo captures the first time I went to Howth, a special day spent with people I had just met, but who, from the beginning, I knew would become incredibly important during this experience.
On that day, while walking through Ireland’s nature, my mind was completely free of worries and negativity. I was just focused on the exciting new chapter I had in front of me. Now, five months later, I can certainly say that has been one of the best of my entire life.
Thanks, Ireland.
