They say it’s hard to live abroad. It really is, but life is lighter and brighter when you make the most out of it with the best people and experiences. I have lived in Ireland for half a year now, and my life has just been just exciting. Â
Building friendshipsÂ
So, what have I been up to? Well, I met and made as many friends as possible. Many of my friends are from India, as the course I am taking is popular among Indians. Though we are from different cultures, I made sure that I embrace and respect theirs , and they did the same for mine. By forging genuine connections, the warmth and hospitality of the people I met extend far beyond surface-level interactions.Â
Discovering placesÂ
I like becoming a tourist in Ireland. Each place shows a different kind of magic and charm. Whether I’m walking down the trail of a mountain in Sligo, taking a stroll by Dog’s bay, or simply admiring the beauty of Kylemore Abbey, these destinations never fail to rejuvenate me.Â
Celebrating lifeÂ
A few big days have passed by in my 6 months of stay here. But then, it seemed as if I did not miss anything in life. My entire family was blessed enough to be granted a tourist visa just in time for Christmas, New Year and my birthday ! How lucky I was!Â
Seizing and enjoying opportunitiesÂ
Well, life here isn’t all about hitting the books and grinding away at work. For me, living a full life means diving headfirst into all sorts of exciting activities!Â
I’m part of a vibrant community of business analysts, where we geek out over data and strategy. I’m also a member of the dance society and the Swiftie society. I likewise keep myself busy by being a student ambassador for the University of Galway. When time permits, I’ll also be hitting the dance floor or chilling at a party with friends. Â
Life as a student in Ireland is about seizing the moment and making the most of every opportunity. So ,whether you’re diving into a new society, strutting your stuff on the dance floor, or just enjoying some good vibes with friends, remember to embrace every moment because life is what we make it. Â
Diana May is studying Business Analytics at University of Galway via Education in Ireland.
