“Cork city is one of the wonderful places that I have been. It is my second home as I have lived in it three years of my life”

Student Ambassador Hanan Alquraish shares her experience living in Cork and some great places to see and things to do.

Cork is the second largest city in Ireland.  I am a student at the University of Limerick, and I moved to Cork for the next 8 months for coop training. Cork city is one of the wonderful places that I have been. It is my second home as I have lived in it three years of my life. In this blog I would like to highlight the wonderful places to visit when coming to Cork.

First, is my favorite place of all time, Fitzgerald Park, this park is one of the most beautiful places in cork, the nature is fascinating, when you want a quite calm place you should totally come.

There is also a walk path near Fitzgerald Park, where you could go for a walk, it’s called Banks of The Lee Walkway, whenever you want to breathe the nature, relax, or destressing, this walkway is magnificent.

Another place is Shandon tower, and it is this church beautiful church with four clocks, it is known as the four-faced liar because on each face there is a different time. When you go there, I guarantee you won’t regret. You buy your ticket and have the chance to see the church and climb the tower up to the top. When you climb the tower,

you will have the chance to ring the bells, and if you reach the top, you will see the amazing cork city from the top, being glorious, this would be an experience of a lifetime.

These places are amazing, every time I come to cork for a visit I stop by these places, and now that I am here for 8 months I’ll take the chance to go to these places once on a while.
