by Steven son Koninti Mark | 12 Jul, 2021 | Atlantic Technological University ATU, from: India, Letterkenny Institute of Technology
My name is Steven, I’m from India and I’m currently pursuing a master’s in computing in Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT).
Choosing Ireland
I chose to move to Ireland for my higher education because Ireland is a hub of new developments and advancements.
Ireland is one of the safest and friendliest countries in the world, the crime rate in Ireland is almost negligible. Irish people are also famously welcoming people and therefore hospitality plays a large role in Irish culture.
In my opinion, the Irish education system is one of the best education systems in the word, making it an attractive place for international students. Ireland is home to the headquarters of several top companies such as Google, Microsoft, DELL, and many more. There are also many research institutes in Ireland.
Studying in Ireland gives me an opportunity to achieve my goals and ambitions in the field of research.
Choosing a course
I chose to study a MSc Computing in Big Data analytics because it has a tremendous influence on everyday life, playing a critical role in every area of society.
Few recent advances have rivalled the speed of growth or scope of usage for information technology. In all fields of industry, research, and engineering; this has been an invaluable weapon and the foundation of a variety of digital services.
Although computer technology underpins virtually every part of our everyday life, many of us do not realise how much we are relying on it. The computer science degrees give students an appreciation of computer system concepts and a variety of key IT skills.
I chose Letterkenny because it is an ideal place for nature lovers. County Donegal was crowned the “the coolest place on the planet” by National Geographic. It is famous for spectacular landscapes and beaches.
Steven Son Koninti Mark is originally from India, and studies a Masters in computing (big data analytics) at the Letterkenny Institute of Technology.
